Our Beginning
Agile Automotive was founded in September 2003 by Hill McCarty. Having had some less than stellar experiences taking his '02 WRX to performance shops near his college, Hill saw the need for a shop that offered the full package to its customers: intelligently selected, quality oriented parts, the best customer service, knowledgeable staff, meticulous service, and professional tuning. After graduating from college and months of extensive planning he moved back to his hometown, Baltimore, Maryland and Agile was open for business three months later. He and his former business partner built Agile from the ground up, starting in a 2000 square foot 2-bay garage in Cockeysville, Maryland. Their first major purchase was an AWD Dynapack dynamometer in October 2003.
Although the majority of their customer base was Hondas, Hill wanted to turn the focus of the company towards the AWD market, especially Subarus and Mitsubishi Evos. He spent hundreds of hours custom fabricating parts for his WRX and tuning it with various engine management systems on the dyno to hone his fabrication and tuning skills. When his business partner left the company in the spring of 2005, Hill took the business in the direction he wanted. Very quickly, he became known as one of the premiere Subaru tuners on the East Coast.
With a long list of very happy customers, Agile was outgrowing the small garage in Cockeysville. In August of 2006 Agile moved to a 9200 square foot, 6-bay facility in Fallston, Maryland. With the extra room, Agile was not only able to increase the number of employees, but also purchase more equipment, start its engine/transmission building program and further expand it's fabrication capabilities.
During our years in Fallston, Agile saw even more growth. Now located on the I-95 corridor, Agile was able to pull customers from all over the East Coast and beyond. We developed a well-established engine and transmission building program, began to offer a full range of track support services, became active in many forms of motorsports including doing complete ground-up race car builds for our customers, and continued to offer our customers outstanding craftsmanship, tuning, and customer service.

Agile Today
The late fall of 2015 brought another move for us. We were outgrowing our facility again and looking for a building that was better maintained so that we could provide our customers a superior place to bring their vehicles and a nicer environment for our employees to work. We decided to move up the road to Forest Hill so that we were still conveniently located to the I-95 corridor. Our new facility gave us 12,000 square feet of room and better accommodations like a dedicated showroom, customer waiting and reception area, private offices for our company leaders, a clean room for engine/transmission builds and custom wiring harness fabrication.
We have continued to not only service our customers who are looking for general maintenance and repair, but also to grow our race engineering and car development program. Our current setup allows us to give every customer our undivided attention, whether they are contracting us to build a car from the ground up, design a wiring harness and elite electronics control system for their track car, build an engine, fabricate a custom turbo kit, install a supercharger kit, tune their Accessport, install an exhaust system, perform a 60K service, troubleshoot an electrical gremlin, align their suspension, or to do a simple oil change.
