Subaru Challenge was held at Ripkin Field in Aberdeen, Maryland on September 18, 2004. Subarus from all over the country came to compete in this Southeast Region event, organized by the Washington D.C. Region Chapter of the SCCA (Sports Car Club of America). Many thanks to Subaru of America, the SCCA, and the Washington chapter for making this event possible.
Hill, Bobby, and Annie from the Agile Racing team competed. Annie raced in the morning in a downpour, but managed to improve her time by 11 seconds over her 4 runs. She won first in the Women's Street Modified class with a run of 51.724 seconds.
The rain cleared up for Hill and Bobby's heat and they raced on barely damp pavement. Hill had the best time of any novice driver at the event, winning First Place Novice with a 41.996 second run.
Bobby had an exceptional race. He placed 13th overall with a 40.255 second run being his fastest. In the top 16 run-off Bobby broke the 40 second mark with a 39.4 second run.
Congratulations to Bobby for a superb race and to Hill and Annie for a successful first auto cross competition!
