Subaru Challenge was held at Ripkin Field in Aberdeen, Maryland on September 17, 2005. Subarus from all over the country came to compete in this Southeast Region event, organized by the Washington D.C. Region Chapter of the SCCA (Sports Car Club of America). Many thanks to Subaru of America, the SCCA, and the Washington chapter for making this event possible.

Hill, Bobby, Annie, Heath, and Jeremy from the Agile Racing team competed. John who was recently sponsored by Agile also raced in his Forester XT and there were a number of cars tuned by Agile that ran. Unlike last year, it was a beautiful day. The afternoon got quite hot and the sun was shining the whole day.

The guys from Agile Racing all competed in the second heat, Street Modified class. Bobby placed the best at 8th in the class on his fourth run with a time of 44.452 seconds. Although his '04 STi is set up for autocross, it had recently been tuned to 315 torque so driving with the extra power took some adjustments. Hill placed 12th in the class with a fourth run time of 46.256 seconds. His '02 WRX has been designed for drag racing with a turbo that doesn't spool until 5500 RPM--he drove very well considering. Heath drove Bobby's STi and placed 13th with a 46.520 second run. This was his first autocross and he drove extremely well. Jeremy placed 25th in the class in his '04 WRX with a time of 52.465 seconds. Considering this was his first autocross and his car has an almost stock suspension with stock struts and springs he did very well against a class of highly modified autocross cars (his upgraded turbo bumped him into the Street Mod class). Congratulations to the guys who all improved their times on every run.

Annie raced in the Street Modified Ladies class in the third heat. She competed in the '02 WRX and placed 3rd in her class with a run of 49.694 seconds. John who drove Agile's sponsored '05 Forester XT competed in the Street Touring Ultra class and placed 13th with a time of 47.967 seconds. Congratulations to all for a successful autocross!
